The company establishedin Dubai, UAE (Registeration number: 1113807) whose registered office is at: Ontario Tower, Ontario Bay, Dubai, UAE, who will be the controller of any personal data processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

At CARDRETE, you can trust us to deliver the best products for great value. And we want you to feel just as confident in us knowing we take every possible effort to keep all your personal information safe and secure. We’re committed to protecting your privacy, which is why we made this policy – to explain how we may collect and use your personal information, and why this makes your life easier.

Why do we collect information?

We collect information from our customers to create and maintain their profile, organization details and business card details. Without this information we cannot provide the service you entrust CARDRETE to deliver. We also use the collected date statistics to improve the service we offer. That means when you useCARDRETE, and/or use any of our services, we may collect personal information about you.

How do we use your information?

We use your information in a number of different ways. However, without your information, we won’t be able to offer our services, such as sharing/receiving your business card(s) as well as keep your business card’s details updated, or provide you with our paid services. All the information we collect from you is used by us, or a trusted third-party processor acting on our behalf. Check out the tables below to see what we do, and why we do it.

What type of information may we collect? Why do we collect it?

Some information is required for our Products to work. Other information is optional. This information will be marked clearly for you in CRADRETE’s different screens. Required information are the information that CARDRETE can not work without having them.

Your name, nationality, date of birth, photo, bio and gender:

  • To help us verify your identity and personalise your CARDRETE experience
  • To provide essential fraud prevention and detection
  • To give access to your contacts to see your photo or get a quick peek into your bio
  • To make sure you’re in the loop about all our features, products, services, events, promotions and special offers, through the power of direct mail if you choose to opt-in
  • To ensure you don’t receive any more direct marketing mail by post if you have unsubscribed from this service

Your business title, address, location, telephone numbers, social media channels and similar

data that may be found on your desired business card:

  • To assist your contacts know how and where to contact you
  • To pinpoint your address to people who would like to visit your business in person
  • To help your connections to interact with your business like they would usually do with a printed business card

Your email addresses

  • You may use your personal email to create a CARDRETE account
  • To use in email verification/forgot password requests
  • To make sure you’re in the loop about all our features, products, services, events, promotions and special offers
  • To send you order acknowledgement, amendment and completion emails when ordering our paid services online, for a handy reference
  • To ask whether you would like to review a purchase and help our products be the best they can be
  • To record your emails and keep track of any issues or concerns you may have. This helps us to continually improve our services
  • To ensure you don’t receive any more marketing emails if you have unsubscribed from this service

Your telephone number (including home and/or mobile numbers)

  • To get in touch with you if there’s a query regarding your experience on CARDRETE, and make sure our service is spot on
  • To may send you SMS verifications/confirmations to help securing your account
  • To make sure you’re in the loop about all our features, products, services, events, promotions and special offers, through the power of SMS
  • To ensure you don’t receive SMS marketing messages if you have unsubscribed from this service

Your business card history (including business cards you may have received)

  • To ensure you can find the business card you need at the time you need it
  • To enable us to fully investigate any concerns you or one of your connections may raise
  • To help other users who may want to see your career history through the business cards you created/updated

Your phone, tablet, laptop or similar electronic devices (including your IP address, device type and, if you consent to sharing it with us, your location data)

  • To make sure our application is continually improving, and set useful default options for you
  • To make your CARDRETE experience slicker, and tailor your journey around the application or website
  • To provide essential protection against fraud, and meet our legal obligations about looking after your data

Your purchase history (if you buy any of our paid services) via third part provider (currently Stripe)

  • To perform our contract with you,
  • To record your purchase history and create a list of your plan(s) subscription(s), making your shopping experience quicker and easier every time you shop, upgrade or renew a paid plan
  • To help us comply with the law

Your payment information via third part provider (currently Stripe)

  • To let you order products from the checkout, using online payments, including debit, credit cards and Apple Pay.

Your Profile and My Account 

  • To help you access the My Account section and update your details
  • To help you add your payment information and process orders, quickly and securely – this part is managed by Stripe
  • To provide your information to help us test the effectiveness of the platform and personalise your experience on it
  • To keep you updated on your offers and rewards (if any) available to you

The law allows us to collect and use the information set out above for a number of reasons, including:

  • With your consent
  • To perform our contracts with you, such as providing the services intended from CARDRETE
  • Legal compliance – sometimes we are legally obliged to collect and share information, for example in relation to fraud or criminal activity
  • Legitimate interest – where we need to use your data as part of the running of our business to provide our services and we will do this in a way that does not materially impact any of your rights, freedoms or interests, for example the profiling activity we refer to below.


How long will we hold your data for?

We will keep your personal information whilst you continue to use and interact with CARDRETE, for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for. However, we are required by law to keep some data for longer periods than other types and are entitled to hold on to some information where we have a legal right to do so. In general, we will not keep your personal information for longer than five years after you remove your account with us or interact with us before we delete it and where we don’t need it or are not obliged to keep it, we will delete it before. Still, some business cards holding your business name, contact details, logo and similar information may be kept for longer period to support people who have worked in your business prove their employment history.  This information will be deleted automatically with the last user who has a business card from your business removing his/her account.

How to opt out

With each marketing communication you receive from CARDRETE, you will be given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving future communications, such as post, telephone, SMS and email. But you can choose to opt out at any time. Simply contact us and we’ll take care of the rest. Just be aware that it may take up to 30 days for all of our systems to be updated.

Creating customer profiles

To help us form a better, overall understanding of you as a customer, we use your  CARDRETE information – to give us a clear view of your interests, field of business and may bring you the offers and promotions that are most relevant to you.

Sharing your information

We want to earn and maintain your trust. So as a rule, we do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party. That includes your personal details, such as your name, address, email address or telephone number(s) information.

However, we may share your data with the following categories of companies, as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you:

  • Companies that do things to run our application or websites, such as the IT companies who support our systems, payment service providers, and the systems that support our customer services teams
  • Professional service providers, such as marketing agencies, advertising partners and other advisors and agents, who help us run our business, undertake market research and gather reviews
  • Our security contractors, credit reference agencies, law enforcement, cybersecurity companies, fraud prevention and crime reduction agencies, so we can help tackle fraud and criminal activity and to determine risk to customer accounts. We may also receive information from these bodies and use it to keep our customers and employees safe
  • Companies approved by you, such as social media sites (if you choose to link your accounts to CARDRETE)

We may provide third parties with aggregated but anonymised information and analytics about our customers. But before we do, we’ll make sure that it does not identify you.

We may also be required to disclose your personal data to the police or other enforcement, regulatory or Government body upon a valid request to do so. These requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and we’ll always take your privacy into consideration before sharing.

Protecting your data outside the EEA

Sometimes, in order to fulfil your order, process your payment details or provide support services, we’ll need to share your personal data with third parties and suppliers outside the European Economic Area – such as the U.A.E.

We have procedures in place to ensure your data receives the same standard of protection it gets inside the EEA. For example, our contracts with third parties stipulate the standards they must follow at all times.

This means any transfer of your personal data will follow applicable laws, and we’ll treat the information under the guiding principles of this Privacy Policy.

Preventing fraud

All emails you receive from CARDRETE will come from an email address ending in  CARDRETE.COM, so, if you receive any emails claiming to be from us which do not end as above, these may be fraudulent and should be forwarded to CARDRETE at info@cardrete.com.

Don’t forget your rights.

You have the right to request:

  • Access to the personal data we hold about you, free of charge in most cases
  • The correction of your personal data when incorrect, out of date or incomplete
  • That we stop using your personal data for direct marketing
  • That we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data if you withdraw that consent
  • That we delete your data, or stop processing it or collecting it, in some circumstances
  • That we transfer or port elements of your data either to you or another service provider

We want to provide the best service to you, so we’ll act on your requests where we can. But, sometimes, we may not be able to or may not be required to. If we choose not to action your request, we’ll explain the reasons for our refusal.

Your right to withdraw consent

Whenever you give us your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to change your mind at any time and withdraw that consent. The easiest way to withdraw is toyou’re your CRADRETE application or contact our helpful customer services team. Lots of the uses of your information set out in the table above are not based on your consent and therefore, we may continue to use your data, where we are legally allowed to.

Children

We strongly believe in protecting the privacy of children. In line with this belief, we do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from persons under 16 years of age, and no part of the Website/App is directed to persons under 16 years of age. If you are under 15 years of age, then please do not use or access the Website/App at any time or in any manner. We will take appropriate steps to delete any personal information of persons less than 16 years of age.

Where we rely on our legitimate interest

In cases where we are processing your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can ask us to stop for reasons connected to your individual situation.

We must then do so, unless we believe we have a legitimate overriding reason to continue processing your personal data. If we choose not to action your request, we’ll explain the reasons for our refusal.

Checking your identity

To protect the confidentiality of your information, we may ask you to verify your identity before proceeding with any request you make under this Privacy Policy or during using CARDRETE Website/App.

If you have authorised a third party to submit a request on your behalf, that’s fine too. We may just ask them to prove they have your permission to act.

We may update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, to comply with law or to meet our changing business requirements. When we update our Privacy Notice, we will try our best efforts to take appropriate measures to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes we make. Still, we cannot neither confirm nor assure that you receive the updates.

Any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website and available via hyperlink in CARDRETE mobile application. By continuing to access the Website, using our App or providing content in connection with them, your access and use will be subject to these updates and amendments.
